An action-research study on Civil Service experiences, civic attitudes and participation practices among young people in Campania. You can contribute by filling in the questionnaire: it only takes a few minutes.
Why research youth participation
PARTECIPA — Giovani Campania is not only a training path: it is a project of public sociology promoted by the University of Salerno – DISUFF / DiSoSW Lab, in which scientific research and action in local communities go hand in hand. Studying how young people in Campania experience citizenship, volunteering and civic participation means giving back to communities, institutions and associations knowledge that is useful for designing more effective youth policies.
The research takes a participatory action research: young people are not just the object of study, but an active part of the process. The data collected feeds the local labs, the MOOC content and the public sharing of results.
You can take part without following the MOOC. Filling in the questionnaire is independent of the video course: no enrolment or site registration is required.
Civil Service as an experience of active citizenship
The questionnaire explores experiences of the Universal Civil Service, civic attitudes and participation practices among young people. It is open to those currently doing Civil Service, those who have already completed it or are about to start, but also to those who applied without being selected and to those who have never taken part: every experience is useful to the research.

How we handle your data
Taking part is voluntary and the answers are used exclusively for scientific purposes: they are analysed and presented in aggregate form, with no possibility of tracing the identity of respondents. No directly identifying data is requested.
Data is processed in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and with Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018. The data controller is the University of Salerno – DISUFF Department / DiSoSW Lab. More information in the Privacy Policy of the website.
The questionnaires are hosted on Microsoft Forms (Microsoft 365 of the University of Salerno). By opening or filling in a questionnaire, some technical data may be processed by Microsoft according to its own privacy notice.
The other data-collection tools
In addition to the research questionnaire, PARTECIPA collects participants’ views on activities and events in order to evaluate and improve the project.
